If you’re gearing up to sell your home, use our photo shoot checklist to make the process of preparing for photographs easy and stress-free !

 

Removing clutter and personal items not only helps to make your home look larger, but also helps a potential buyer imagine what it might look like after they move in- So, without further ado- Lights, Camera, Action! 

 

Oh, and speaking of lights- Be sure to replace any light bulbs throughout the home!

Kitchen

• Remove magnets & papers from fridge
• Clear counter tops-no clutter
• Clear away small appliances such as toasters
• No pots or pans on stove top
• Remove trash can

 

Bathroom

• Remove toiletries from vanity
• Remove toiletries from shower/ bathtub
• Clean mirrors
• Remove laundry baskets and trash can
• Either remove bath mats or match with towels
• Have towels hanging neatly on towel rails
• Close shower curtain
• Toilet lids down
• Toilet paper removed or rolled up

 

Bedrooms

• Make all beds
• Pack away any kids toys
• Clear any table tops of personal items
• Remove any valuable items & store
• Open drapes or blinds
• Cover underneath beds with bed-skirt

 

Living Areas

• Remove personal photos
• Remove bulky furniture
• Remove all visible pet items
• Keep items on surfaces to a minimum
• Remove visible cords & remotes

 

Outside

• Garage doors closed & cars out of driveway
• Put away bicycles, hose, garden tools, & toys
• Put trash cans out of sight
• Arrange patio furniture neatly

 

And remember…less is more on surfaces and large furniture!
