| Jane has been one of the busiest volunteers in the Green Bay Area. As Green Bay's First Lady she played a very active role in her husband's administration as an ambassador, hostess, neighborhood specialist, fund-raising chair and event coordinator. She has served on the Mayor's Neighborhood Resource Board, Astor Neighborhood Association, Greater Green Bay Community Foundation, UWGB Founders Association, Meyer Theater, Children's Museum, Girl Scouts of America Nomination Committee, Multicultural Center Advisory Board, Urban Hope Advisory Board, Volunteer Center of Brown County, Hmong Friends Project, Saint Thomas More Parent League, Jackie Nitschke Center and Habitat for Humanity Women Build. Fundraising projects include Meyer Theatre, United Way of Brown County, National Railroad Museum, Saint Francis Xavier Cathedral, Fort Howard Family Resource Center, Urban Hope, Tank Elementary School, and Saint Mary's Hospital A Woman's Place.
Jane has been designated a Woman of Vision by the YWCA 2003, Mayor's Civic Award 2003, Woman of the Year by the Green Bay-DePere Business & Professional Women's Organization 2002, and has received the Girl Scouts' Citizenship Award 2001.
A native of Kewaunee, Jane grew up on a 1000 acre farm and married Paul in 1982. They have four children and currently live in Green Bay. Being connected to the community is important and involvement in local organizations like the Freedom House Homeless Shelter, Government Affairs, Committee RANW and on going fundraising for school, church and other community causes allow her to keep a fresh and current focus on neighborhoods. In 2007 Jane was awarded the Excellence in Professionalism award by the Realtors of Northeast Wisconsin.
